OTC drugs only accounted for 18.2% of the total medicines approved last year
Less than 2 of 10 pharmaceutical products approved last year were OTC drugs.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the total number of pharmaceutical products approved last year was 2,853 products.
In the total, there were 2,301 ETC drugs, 519 OTC drugs and 33 orphan(ETC) drugs.
