Number of medical institutions tops 81,681

There are 81,681 medical facilities nationwide as of the end of last year, including hospitals, clinics, public healthcare centers, maternity nursing care centers, dentists, pharmacies and Oriental medical centers, compared with 750,000 in 2006, the health authorities said Thursday.
