Doctors in medical institutions prescribed 21.9 percent of expensive medicines in the first half of this year, showing a 1.3 percent decrease compared with 23.2 percent in 2010, according to the Health, Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA), an affiliate of the health ministry.
