Concerns grow over tar-containing iron drugs

Some iron preparations were found to contain coal tar coloring but have been sold to pregnant women without being monitored by the nation’s food agency.

The Korea Food and Drug Administration has been blind to the amount of drug coloring made from coal tar, it was revealed on October 19.
