KFDA approves Effient, blood-thinning medication

The Korea Food and Drug Administration approved a blood-thinning drug Effient tablets (prasugrel), co-developed by Eli-Lilly and Daiich Sankyo, on July 29 to reduce the risk of blood clots from forming in patients who undergo angioplasty, a common procedure to unblock a clogged coronary artery.
