6,857 drugs withdrawn from health insurance

The National Health Insurance has excluded a total of 6,857 drugs from the list of 21,740 insured medicines in 2006 and as a result, there are 14,883 medicines that are covered by the Health Insurance as of January this year, the Health Insurance Review Assessment and Service said on July 1.
