Asbestos-contaminated drugs to be scrapped

The Korea Food and Drug Administration said on August 31 it will direct pharmaceutical companies to discard 1,104 drugs that are confirmed to have used talc or talcum powders with asbestos.

Under the environmental laws, the scrapping will be made in the presence of the KFDA officials.
