Drug makers to face W100 million over violation of pharmaceutical law

Pharmaceutical manufacturers who have been found to violation the pharmaceutical affairs law will be fined 100 million won, a 100-percent increase from the current 50 million won in maximum, the Korea Food and Drug Administration said.

Some lawmakers have made it necessary for the government to raise the fines since 2006, as the current law failed to meet its initial purpose.
