Medical institutions to benefit from drug savings

Hospitals and clinics that save drug costs will enjoy more benefits, following the passage of a bill to allow an incentive to medical institutions in favor of low-priced drugs in the lawmakers' Committee for Health & Welfare on January 29.

According to the bill, the incentive will account for 30 to 50 percent of the total drug expenses to be saved from doctors' self-prescription.
