Government to disclose overprescribing hospitals

The government plans to make public a list of hospitals and clinics overprescribing drugs to reduce unnecessary pill prescriptions in medical institutions, officials at the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service on January 21.

The agency officials found that patients were prescribed with an average of 4.8 pills per clinic visit in the second quarter of last year.
