Handok to introduce calfactant, acute respiratory distress syndrome treatment

Handok Pharm says it signed a licensing agreement with the US-based Pneuma Partners to distribute calfactant (trade name: Infasurf), a medication used to treat respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), a lung condition that can occur in prematurely born infants whose lungs have not completely developed.
