Ex-Pusan city health director wins government office head

Pharmacist Kim Eun-sook of the main conservative Grand National Party, who turned 62 and has also served as city health director of Pusan, won Pusan's office head in the by-election on December 19.

The National Election Commission said Kim had 58.3 percent of 25,163 votes after all ballots were counted. Independent Byung Chong-gil was a distant second with 31.3 percent.
