Korean scientists invent new photosensitizer synthesizing method

A group of Korean scientists led by Chonnam University have successfully developed a method of synthesizing 'transdermally available 5-amino-levulinic acid (5-ALA) unsaturated alkyl ester and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts', which may be effective for the treatment of cutaneous tumor and acne.
