Patent applications for cell therapeutics surge to 96 cases in 2006

A total of 96 patent applications intended for manufacturing cell therapeutics were filed up to 2006 from 2002 thanks to more intensive R&D efforts of pharmaceutical firms in the related field, according to a recent report by the Korea Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).
