Government-private meeting discusses launching period of generic products

The government plans to set up a system, through a revision of the Korean Pharmaceutical Affairs Law, to suspend the approval process of a generic drug after screening the results of its bioequivalence testing related to safety and efficacy profiles, which may require at least 24 months, a government official said in a government-private meeting on October 30.
