Monthly reporting for drug supply stirs debate

The government's plan to strengthen the obligation of pharmaceutical wholesalers to report their drug supply on a monthly basis instead of on a quarterly basis has recently emerged as a thorny issue in the industry.

The ministry of Health and Welfare reaffirmed its determination to enact the measure on August 31, saying the scheme was already agreed upon related parties several years ago.
