TAP completes Phase II studies of ilaprazole

The U.S.-based TAP Pharmaceutical Products Inc. has completed a Phase II test for ilaprazole, a new investigational proton pump inhibitor (PPI) in the United States, said an official at Ilyang Pharm on August 22.

TAP signed Ilyang for the development and distribution of ilaprazol in 2005 and has the worldwide rights to ilaprazole, with the exception of Korea and China.
