Government to get tougher in drug approval process

The government plans to strengthen a system to suspend the approval process of a generic drug when the original developer files a complaint about patent violation against a generic maker that applies for product approval, following the ratification of a free trade accord between Korea and the United States, according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
