The MOHW announced the lst drug classification for 6,329 professional drugs (prescription drugs: 58.3%) and 4,522 general drugs (non-prescription drugs: 41.7%) after due confirmation process through the KFDA, which was earlier determined by the Separation Execution Commission for Medical and Pharmacy Separation some time in 1997.
