Recalls on drug dwindle sharply

The number of pharmaceutical product recalls dramatically decreased last year as drug makers and importers are placing more weight on quality control for their products prior to marketing, according to a report released by Yakup Shinmoon.

The report said that the number of product recalls dropped to 23 last year from 49 in 2004 and 104 in 2005.
