Government unveiled drug distribution improvement plan

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare plans to scrap the contentious unified distribution system, allowing drug manufacturer's direct transactions with hospitals in 2010 as part of its effort to overhaul the current distribution system, while toughening the facility standards of wholesalers to reduce the ever-increasing number of new drug wholesalers.
