Government agencies grant patent transfer to Huons

The Korea Food and Drug Administration and Forest Government Information Agency said on December 27 that their jointly owned patent on garlic extract was transferred to Huons Co., a local Korean drugmaker, on an exclusive basis.

According to Huons, the garlic extract proved to be effective for the prevention and treatment of arteriosclerosis and hypercholesterol in animal experiments.
