Smaller hospitals are still prescribing phenylpropanolamine

84 hospitals and clinics nationwide have still prescribed phenylpropanolamine (PPA), an ingredient that may cause hemorrhagic strokes, to their patients for common conditions such as cold, coughs and sore throats.
