The MOHW has reviewed the total 4,517 drug prices 4 times since 2002 and made reductions by 7.9% on average. According to the status of the upper limited price reduction through the periodical price reviews, the total number of drugs to review was 18,951 drugs from 2002 to 2005, and 4,517 drugs of which had been slashed by 7.9% on average to save the NHI payment as much as 142,500 MW.
