C-tri, to file international patent for valienamine production process.

C-Tris Inc., a life science venture company announced on Dec. 21 that the international patent for the production process of the intermediate compound, valienamine, of Voglibose, an anti-diabetic drug, was filed.

Valienamine has been hardly supplied because of no economic synthetic method and of its high price at over 30,000 U. S. dollar per kg.
