Sodium Thiosulfate Effectively Reduces Toxicity and Improves Survival Rate

The clinical study conducted by a team of researchers from the United States shows that sodium thiosulfate, a chemoprotective agent, effectively reduced toxicity and thus enabled dose escalation of antineoplastic cisplatin therapy performed with concomitant radiation therapy for patients with advanced paranasal sinus cancer.
