Vioxx to be removed from market within two months

Following the September 30 announcement of Merck &. Co. to remove Vioxx (rofecoxib) from the United States and worldwide market, MSD Korea informed the Korea Food and Drug Administration of its voluntary withdrawal and is also in the process of notifying health care practitioners via telephones, circular letters and personal visits.
