Top 10 pharmaceutical firms control 47% of Korean pharmaceutical market

Combined sales by Korea's top ten pharmaceutical firms, marking more than 200 billion won in 2003, accounted for 47 percent (2.99 trillion won) of total pharmaceutical sales, with many market experts saying the growing dominance of these large companies in the local pharmaceutical market may be at the root of a system to separate drug dispensing from medical practice.
