Substantial increase of hospital admission fee eyed

The Korean Hospital Association has called on the government to raise the daily admission fee of hospital-level institutions, claiming that the current fee hovers at less than percent of the actual cost and this has worsened the hospital management conditions due to lower annual increase rates of 2.7 percent in unit point of health insurance charge (from 55.4 won in 2001 and 56.9 won in 2004).
