First-version generics predicted to exceed 30-70% of domestic pharmaceutical market

Pharmaceutical business sources said that Korean first-version generic drugs, such as amlodipine and glimepiride, may make up more than 30 to 70 percent in less than 10 years, thanks to local doctors' changed perception in favor of Korean generics in terms of cheaper drug price and comparable efficacy and safety profiles over foreign original drugs.
