Chief Commissioner Shim Chang-goo of KFDA vindicated his resignation in the press interview on Aug. 12 as saying that for an efficient performance of the KFDA's activity as an independent agency from the MOHW, the KFDA's policy functions currently grabbed by the MOHW should be transferred for the KFDA fully to be authorized in the drug safety administration.
