Medical treatment outlays total 20.5 trillion won in 2003

The Health Insurance Review Agency announced on March 3 that medical treatment outlays in 2003 amounted to 20.5 trillion won, up 7.7 percent compared with 19.6 trillion won from a year earlier. The total claims by medical institutions increased by 2.3 percent from 620 million cases in 2003 to 610 million cases in 2002.
