The preservation of physician's prescriptions at pharmacies have become one of the most troublesome issues to pharmacies during the past 4 years since the implementation of the medical and pharmacy role separation program.

The National Health Insurance Act revised at the end of June 2001 prescribed an obligation for pharmacies to keep preservation of physician's prescriptions for 5 years.
