College professors to oppose crude herbal drugs for health-foods.

The Pharmacognosy Professors Association took an urgent meeting at Sukmyung Univ. on June 4 and discussed crude herbal drugs to be used as a health functional food. They made it clear that 152 herbal drugs listed in the health food codex should be removed in view of its toxicity and premature studies of its edibility.
