Rep. Kim Hong-shin, a legislator of the opposition Grand National Party, presented on April 26 to the National Assembly a proposal strengthening legal grounds for new and re-emerging communicable diseases such as SARS, etc., and this amendment law is scheduled to be passed on this June at the latest.
