Patients with mild diseases should shoulder higher proportion of their out-of-pocket money

The proportion of out-of-pocket money in patients with severe diseases should be lowered but patients with mild diseases should shoulder a higher proportion of their out-of-pocket money in a bid to stabilize the finance of the National Health Insurance Corporation, said Choi Byung-ho, head of the Korea Institute of Health and Social Affairs.
