DPRS to reaffirm the implementation of incentive system in favor of low-priced drugs

The Drug Price Review Subcommittee under the Heath Insurance Policy Deliberation Council has recently reaffirmed the government plan to promote the use of low-priced drugs via an incentive system of granting to the medical institutions the drug margin up to 50 percent, in spite of strong opposition by the Korean Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association.
