Voluntary reduction of insurance-covered drug prices urged

In a recent session with the representatives of the Korea Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, Ministry of Health and Welfare Lee Tai-bok has tacitly urged the pharmaceutical firms to voluntarily lower the insurance-covered drug prices for ensuring better finance stability in the national health insurance, since the treatment charges were reduced by 2.9 percent.
