Management of bioequivalence test to be strengthened

The Korea Food and Administration has announced that if a person intends to obtain a new license on those items which were already approved before 1989, he/she will be subject to the bioequivalence test instead of fulfilling the safety and efficacy test of drugs in the past, since the bioequivalence test has been mandatory on those newly-copied items which were approved since 1989.
