Rapid decrease in generic approvals last year

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety(MFDS) announced that 2,104 products(excluding oriental medicines and products for export) were approved and registered as medicine last year, decreased from 2,845 products of 2016, but the number of biologics was quickly increased by 58% from 31 products of 2016 to 49 products of 2017.
