8 of 10 medicines approved last month were reportedly generics.

According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Online Drug Library, there were 36 OTC drugs, 130 ETC drugs approved, totaling 166 products.

The ratio between the ETC and OTC drugs approved was 78:22.

Among the OTC drugs approved, there were 11 generics and 36 products approved under the Korean manufacturing standards.
