The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety(MFDS) is seeking for plans to improve competitiveness for Korean clinical trials to the global level.

Korean clinical trials have been significantly improved in quality and quantity by the government-led policies. The number of clinical trials approved by the MFDS was largely increased from 55 cases in 2002 to 674 cases in 2015.
