Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation support LG Chem with KRW 14 billion for polio vaccine development

LG Chem announced on the 7^th that ‘Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’ has decided to support the company with USD 12.6 million(approx. KRW 14 billion) for development of a new polio vaccine.

The support fund will be used for clinical trials of the new ‘inactivated polio vaccine’ by 2020 and to extend manufacturing facilities in its vaccine factory located in Osong, Chungbuk.
