MFDS designates products similar to teeth whitening as quasi drug

Products that are similar to teeth whitening kits will be controlled by being designated by the government as quasi drug.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety(MFDS) made a partial revision to the ‘Notification of the Range of Quasi Drugs’ that controls products used to temporarily adjust teeth color with ointment and air products using a direct inhaling system by designation as quasi drug.
