Term ‘natural new medicine’ will disappear

In order to avoid misconception to ‘new drug’ defined in the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law, the term ‘natural new medicine(literal translation)’ will no longer be used.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety(MFDS) pre-announced legislation of the ‘Notice of Partial Revision for Pharmaceutical Product Approval and Registration Regulation’ which removes the definition of ‘natural new medicine.’
