Last year’s No. of pharmacies was 21,461 places

Last year, there were 21,461 pharmacies in Korea and Seoul was the only area where the number decreased among the total 17 cities and provinces.

According to the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service, the number of pharmacies at the end of 2016 was counted at 21,461 stores. The number was increased by 194 from 21,267 stores in 2015.
