Gardasil 9 to be introduced in Korea, the 9-valent era of cervical cancer vaccination

MSD Korea will introduce a 9-valent vaccine, Gardasil(tetravalent), a cervical cancer vaccine, including 5 more types of human papillomavirus(HPV). The vaccine is expected to prevent cervical cancer at over 90%.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety approved commercialization of MSD Korea’s Gardasil 9 Prefilled Syringe and Gardasil 9 on the 25^th.
