Facing the patent expiration of Celebrex, the pharmaceutical industry is being active to get generic approvals

Generics of the nonsteroidal type anti-inflammatoryanalgesic drug, Celebrex (generic name: celecoxib), are preparing to launch in the market as its patent expiration is coming soon in this June.

According to the weekly state of approvals by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, 7 celecoxib-type drugs have been already approved in this January.
