The total expense of health insurance reached KRW 50.9552 trillion last year which is 6.5% higher than the previous year

Per capita visit to medical institution in Korea is about 19.4 days a year.  The total amount of medical expense reached KRW 50.9552 trillion which is 6.5% higher than the same period last year. Insurance benefit expense was KRW 38.1248 trillion which accounted for 74.8% of the total medical expense. The proportion of insurance benefit expense increased by 0.2% compared to last year.
