Domestic wholesalers hit by low distribution margins

Korea’s wholesaling industry is now in financial crisis due to foreign invested drug firms’ thinner distribution margins and sluggish sales triggered by the government-mandated price cuts in April last year.

“Many wholesalers have seen their bottom lines aggravating amid ever-falling distribution margins,” said a senior wholesaler.
